CDSA is pleased to be able to offer you childcare on site at Hawthorne Elementary School. The before and after school program is housed in a portable outside of the main building. It is a designated childcare space designed specifically for an out of school time program and is adjacent to the school art room. Both are located on the school playground. We are also fortunate to have the use of the school gym, library, cafeteria, as well as parks right down the street.

We also offer a preschool program, located in a classroom within the Hawthorne school building; we are accepting registrations for that program now.

Meet BohemiaTaylor
Sanislo Program Supervisor

Hello to all! My name is Bohemia Taylor and I am the program supervisor for Hawthorne CDSA. I have had the great privilege of working with Community Day School Association since February of 2006. I began my career with CDSA at Sanislo Preschool and moved over to Hawthorne in November 2007. It has been a great pleasure to work with the children and families at both programs and I am so very happy to have settled here at Hawthorne. I graduated from the Evergreen State College in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in child development and social services.  Since obtaining the degree I have worked as a Head Start Teacher and an Early Head Start Family Advocate before coming to CDSA.  I have been working with children and families since 1996, and I imagine I will continue in the field for many years.

When I am not at work I am fortunate enough to spend my spare time with two wonderful teenage children and an assortment of pets. My experience here at CDSA has been a wonderful one and I hope to be able to continue with the organization for many years to come.
